astro-font has passed about 10,000 weekly downloads on npm 🤯 That is a huge milestone for a small library focused on one thing i.e. making font loading in Astro sites faster and less painful.
Thank you to everyone who tried it, shipped it in production, opened issues, and sent pull requests. Weekly download numbers are never the whole story, but they are a clear signal that the Astro community cares about font performance and ease of using them that motivates us to the next round of work.
A quick apology
If you have been waiting for blog posts, release notes, or roadmap updates - sorry for the radio silence lately. That is not ideal when you depend on a project, and we appreciate your patience.
What is next
More updates are in the next 2 weeks - more releases, continued hardening around real-world Astro setups, and incremental improvements so astro-font stays a dependable default for font optimization.
If you are new to the project, the npm package page is the best place to get started, and the existing write-ups on this blog still walk through how astro-font fits into Astro sites.
Thank you again for pushing astro-font to this milestone 🖤
